On Veteran’s Day, Freedom Law’s Charissa Potts spoke on recently enacted bankruptcy legislation at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s 2019 Hon. Steven W. Rhodes Consumer Bankruptcy Conference. The new subchapter V of Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code will make bankruptcy a viable option for small businesses by lowering associated costs and streamlining the process. The law will take effect February 19, 2020.
